My first blog.. I guess I have to start somewhere..

Ok, all and whoever reads this.. This is a blogg I started for the boat and hopefully it will get better with time. Let's catch everyone up on the name(which seems to be a often asked question) and where the boat has been.

Ok, according to Maritime Tradition the most important female in your life(Typically Wife, Girlfriend, Mother, etc) is to choose the name. I'm sure we can all go on and on why this happened, probably to help her sign off on buying it. LOL.. Well since I don't have a wife and my folks are part owners of the boat my mom was the person who chose the name. Lots of names were tossed out that were her nicknames and stuff, then finally she settled on "Feisty Lady" because she said that all the Ford girls are Feisty. By the way, it is very true that the girls in this family don't back down from anything.

This is the second boat that has had the name "Feisty Lady" and my friends have now adopted the term "Ol'Feisty" to differentiate between the two. The first boat as a American Tug 34 which was a great boat but for the types of trips we wanted to do and the amount of family we have we decided to go bigger. We looked and looked and were really considering the American Tug 41 which is a MUCH bigger boat then the 34. But we saw the Kadey Krogen 44 and just simply fell for that boat, and it turned out one was available for us to buy with out really waiting for one to be made!! So this is the blog of that boat, KK44!!

Where has she been?? Well she's been in the Miami and Annapolis Boat shows, and the Solomons and Mystic Trawler fests. She actually won best in show at the Mystic Trawler Fest! My friends and I brought her up from Stuart Florida to Annapolis and I guess I should post that somewhere on here to help introduce some of my friends and stuff.

Where is she going to go?? Well, I'd love to go all over the place but right now I have a thing called a job holding me down. LOL.. But this summer it looks like we may take it up to Maine/New England area over a period of 2 to 3 weeks. I've done the measurements and if the weather cooperates we would have plenty of time to do sight seeing all over.

Well thats about it for now.. I'm sure I'll post some other random stuff like what electronics I have, what things I want to change, etc..
